本品为白色结晶或冻干粉。易溶于水。等电点pH一8.0。分子量13000。最适pH为7.0~8.0。在pH 2~4.5最稳定。分解酵母RNA的最适温度为65℃,活性受重金属抑制。结晶粉末(无盐)在0~4℃可稳定数年。它能催化核糖核酸的降解,能改变宿主细胞新陈代谢,抑制病毒合成,在体外能抑制流感病毒增殖,在鸡胚内能抑制痘苗、疱疹病毒形成。俄国学者证明本品对急性胰腺炎有效。
由红霉素产生菌的发酵液提取。
密封干燥O~4℃保存。
